Artificial intelligence at the service of Lineapelle — not a force of destruction, but a creator of new opportunities. Such is LENA, Lineapelle’s virtual assistant, officially unveiled during the Aimateriality talk at the fair, where managers, experts and industry leaders came together to discuss the future of fashion and the impact AI will have on production chains. LENA is designed to answer visitors’ questions in multiple languages, offering seamless and immediate interaction. Thanks to generative AI technology, the vast intangible heritage and archive built up over decades of trade fair activity can now be preserved and enhanced, and made accessible to the wider public — starting with the upcoming editions of Lineapelle around the world, scheduled for London and New York in January 2026.

LENA was presented by Orietta Pellizzari and Stefano Galassi, CEO of Ingenium — Made in Italy Innovation Platform, and developed in partnership with Bevolus. Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly pervasive within fashion supply chains. The key challenge remains how to harness it at the delicate intersection of reality, economics and the safeguarding of jobs. Three innovative start-ups
A women-led panel then introduced three pioneering start-ups dedicated to advanced AI applications in fashion and lifestyle. Yuliya Raquel of Patternfast, based in Silicon Valley, presented her work on rapid prototyping and product personalisation. Anna Bonciani of Temera showcased the company’s leadership in traceability and digital product passports — crucial tools for ensuring transparency, authenticity and sustainability in fashion and luxury. Finally, Francesca Bucci of Ephoto outlined her work in mapping brand presence online, across websites and sales platforms, delivering a level of precision and depth that supports price profiling, visual communication strategies and the optimisation of digital conte
