Lineapelle without borders: a double engagement between Antwerp and Tokyo

Lineapelle without borders. Today (13 November) and tomorrow (14 November), Lineapelle spans both West and East, between Europe and the Far East, Antwerp and Tokyo. The initiative reflects the evolving international outlook of the fair, while preparations continue for the next edition of the world’s leading trade show for the leather, fashion and design industries: Lineapelle 107, scheduled to take place from 11 to 13 February 2026 at Fiera Milano Rho.

Lineapelle without borders

The first event takes place in Belgium, at The Mills in Antwerp, a former textile factory now used as a creative venue. On this occasion, Lineapelle will showcase how Italian manufacturing excellence in leather and materials translates into style and fashion. The programme opens with a welcome address from Tindaro Paganini, Director of the Italian Trade Agency in Brussels, followed by presentations from Fulvia Bacchi, CEO of Lineapelle, and Alessandra Siena from Lineapelle Training. The focus will be on effects and finishes for the Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 season. “During the event”, Lineapelle explains, “prototypes of garments created by students from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de La Cambre will be exhibited, made using material samples provided by Lineapelle”.

The NIC Award in Tokyo

The second stage unfolds in Tokyo on Friday 14 November, with the second edition of The NIC (New Italian Cool) Award, described as “the event that spotlights the latest innovations in Italian fashion”. Organised by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ICCJ), the ceremony and fashion show will take place on Friday 14 November 2025 along Shotengai Palm, one of Tokyo’s oldest shopping streets, twinned with Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, in the Musashi-Koyama district.

The winners, selected by a high-profile Japanese jury, will represent “the best of Italian talent in terms of originality, innovation and commitment to sustainability”. Two categories, New and Upcoming, of the NIC Award are supported by Lineapelle. The 2025 edition of the NIC Award is organised in collaboration with Lineapelle, Confartigianato, Itochu Fashion System (IFS), and the fashion schools coconogacco and Istituto Marangoni Firenze.
