Manifattura di Domodossola: it’s the fifth edition for Intreccincantiere. Jewellery and interior design join in for this year’s edition

The fifth edition of Intreccincantiere, contest for young designers promoted by Manifattura di Domodossola, business founded in 1913, leader in the braided leather segment, is taking place at the same time as Lineapelle96. The names of the winners in the following categories will be announced on Friday: leather goods, clothing, footwear, jewellery and interior design (the last two are new entries for the contest). The winners will be chosen by a jury of fashion and design experts that includes: Monica Alberici (product manager shoes collection of Christian Louboutin), Antonio Gavazzeni (ceo of Bagutta), Daniele Guidi (vice-president of Nautica Italiana), Raffaello Napoleone (ceo of Pitti Immagine), Bruna Rossi (Fashion Director – Women of Io Donna) e Bav Tailor (fashion designer). There will be an additional prize to those already being given, which is the Premio Lineapelle (Lineapelle Prize), that will be assigned by the visitors of the stand where, during the three days of the fair at Fieramilano Rho, the participants’ creations will be showcased. This year’s edition had around 100 contestants arrived from the most important international fashion schools, such as Esmod in Paris, and Mode Gakuen of Nagoya, in Japan. Among the new enriching activities of this year’s edition, the Premio Athison (Athison Prize), will also be awarded to the luxury accessories’ brand launched by Manifattura di Domodossola. The recognition aims at increasing the collaboration between the fashion schools’ world and that of industry, with the objective of making the best creations crafted by contestants, a part of the future collections of the Athison brand.
