Pavlovsky, Capasa, Boehly: European fashion renews presidencies

Pavlovsky, Capasa, Boehly. These are the three presidents elected (or re-elected) in recent days to head fashion federations and institutions in France and Italy. The first, president of Chanel‘s Fashion Division will lead the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion (FHCM). The second has been confirmed as head of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI). While Frank Boehly, current President of the Conseil National du Cuir, also takes over the same position at France Industries Créatives.

European fashion renews presidency: FHCM

Taking over from Ralph Toledano, Bruno Pavlovsky (pictured, right) became president of the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion (FHCM). Pascal Morand was confirmed as chairman of the Executive Committee, which includes Francesca Bellettini of Saint Laurent, Guillaume de Seynes of Hermès and Sidney Toledano of LVMH. Pavlovsky has been a member of the Executive Committee for ten years. His goals are three (source: Fashion Network). One: to continue to make Paris Fashion Week shine. Two: to coordinate French fashion with the European Union’s institutional activity. Three: to develop the fashion and management school of the Institut Français de la Mode.

CNMI confirms Capasa

Carlo Capasa will extend his mandate at the top of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) for another two years. Capasa (photo, centre) has been in office since 2015. In addition to honorary president Mario Boselli, the elected advisors are: Patrizio Bertelli (Prada), Marco Bizzarri (Gucci), Serge Brunschwig (Fendi), Alfonso Dolce (Dolce&Gabbana) and Fabrizio Cardinali (Etro). Alongside them: Marco Gobbetti (Salvatore Ferragamo), Massimo Ferretti (Aeffe), Luigi Maramotti (Max Mara), Angela Missoni (Missoni), Renzo Rosso (Otb), Remo Ruffini (Moncler), Carla Sozzani (10Cc), Jacopo Venturini (Valentino) and Ermenegildo Zegna (Ez Service). “The goal for the next two years is to continue to be competitive and incisive, united and collaborative,” Capasa emphasised in his report (source: Fashion United).

New assignment for Frank Boehly

The President of CNC – Conseil National du Cuir, Frank Boehly (left, in photo) will replace Pierre-François Le Louët as the head of France Industries Créatives. This is a consultative body to promote and disseminate “the voice of all fashion, design and personal equipment companies in the international debate”.
