Prada’s garden-factory in Arezzo is a new landmark of the group. “We are not going to sell, my sons are ready”, points out Bertelli

Prada is not for sale: the next generation of managers is gearing up. The news comes from Valvigna, based in the municipality of Terranuova Bracciolini, in the province of Arezzo, Tuscany, where Prada fashion house have just inaugurated a garden-factory designed by architect Guido Canali. “Lorenzo, my son, is getting ready to be in charge of Prada, one day”, announced CEO Patrizio Bertelli (in the picture), who currently runs the company together with his wife, Miuccia. Lorenzo, their son, 30 years old, joined the business last year in September; the other son, Giulio, is still up to his studies. While opening their new offices, they made clear that the fashion house is not for sale. Just rumors then, nothing more than that. “I am not going to sell the company, I will not do it. I never sold anything in my life”, emphasized Bertelli. In the meantime, they celebrate the inauguration of their new branch. Facilities consist of laboratories, where they keep samples, technical areas, offices and a canteen. Moreover, in the garden-factory you may find the historical archives of Prada’s collections alongside a data processing center. In the new manufacturing site, they are going to develop and produce leather goods collections for Prada and Miu Miu.
