Expo Riva Schuh over, Italian factories hopeful for a Russian market. Iachini (The Repo): “The wind is changing.”

Riva del Garda, the 87th edition of Expo Riva Schuh, the leading trade fair in the volume footwear sector, is over. Visitors continued to show a keen interest in the products of the 287 Italian exhibitors, despite the massive presence of foreign sellers (1,162 out of a total of 1,449). “The high-end belongs to the best-known brands, therefore, if we wanted to focus on the quantity, we will not be able to compete with other countries’ productions. For this reason, we decided to concentrate our efforts in the middle market” says Pompeo Iachini, from Repo Porto Sant ‘ Elpidio (Ascoli Piceno). For this reason, Marche entrepreneurs are paying particular attention to the latest developments related to European sanctions on Russia. “I am confident – continues Iachini – because I perceive the wind is changing.”
