Finproject invests in Mexico: 4 million USD for a new plant in León

Finproject invests around 4 million USD in a new production site in León, Mexico, which will produce for Crocs, other Mexican footwear plants (such as Flex) and others in North America, and will be the main outpost for the entire South America. The opening of this new production hub (the ribbon-cutting ceremony in picture), is signed by Foam Creations Mexico, subsidiary of Finproject. The plant’s goal is to help with the business’ long-term international growth strategy that adds value to Italian know-how capacities. “Our new plant is testimony of our company’s attention to the growth project that will help us to maximize the benefits of a highly technological product for markets with many opportunities, said Maurizio Vecchiola, ceo of Finproject.  The plant, located in León’s footwear and automotive hub (Parque industrial Stiva), will cover a surface of 15,000 square meters, which will be increased to 20,000 in the future. It will employ around 480 people and will have 10 machines for the production of soles and footwear (boots, sandals, clogs) marked XL Extralight, 5 machines for other technical creations for the same brand, and in a separate area, 2 compound production lines dedicated to domestic consumption. Inside this new site there will also be space for research and the development and manufacturing of highly technological products for the footwear segment and others.
