Good feedbacks from Lineapelle London with the attendance of the old and new fashion guard. February 1 & 2 it’s the time of the New York edition

“Being here is important, not only in a commercial perspective but also because it give us the possibility to connect with a younger audience that you won’t meet at other similar events”. There were the words of one of the forty-one exhibitors of Lineapelle-London. The Ham Yard Hotel was the stage where participants had the chance to exhibit their sample collections for summer 2018. Lineapelle was such a hit that it registered a ‘sold out’ for two of its design workshops. The positive outcome was confirmed by a veteran of the event, Franco Dalle Mese, of the Montebello Tannery. “Since its beginnings, this event has been able to meet British customers needs both for established brands as well as for new ones that are very open-minded about using new technologies” he declared. After the London event, at the beginning of February (Wednesday, 1; and Thursday, 2) a similar event is going to be staged in New York at the Metropolitan Pavilion. One-hundred exhibitors are expected to attend this well-established event which, this year, is enriched by a free seminar, Disrupting Sustainability.  The symposium will explore the themes of sustainability in the context of the leather; the growing demands from the brands to their suppliers, as well as the challenges of an inefficient approach to the subject and the guarantees offered by the Italian tanneries. The speakers are the financial analyst, Luca Solca (Exane BNP Paribas); the UNIC consultant, Federico Brugnoli (Spin360); and ICEC’s representative (Institute of Certification for the leather sector), Giacomo Zorzi.
