Italian tanning in mourning: goodbye to Pietro Giananti (Dolmen)

Italian tanning in mourning. Pietro Giananti passed away in Santa Croce sull’Arno, where he founded Dolmen with his brother Davide in 1979. The company is specialized in the tanning of exotic hides, but is also active on the international market with other expertise.

Pietro Giananti

Pietro Giananti was 71 years old and passed away this morning (November 24th, 2020) after a short period of sickness. He always participated entrepreneurially, as well as with other associations, taking up the role of Counselor in the Tanners’ Associations in Santa Croce sull’Arno until 2014.

Dolmen

Tannery Dolmen had celebrated 40 years of activity in 2019. A succesful activity that has, throughout the years, managed to create continuity even during generational changes, integrating other components of the family into the business. Yet, the company grew to have over 100 employees and is structured in 3 different operating centers located in one 12.000 square meters’ site in Santa Croce sull’Arno.
