Louis Vuitton and Supreme: a story in progress

It seems then that the capsule collection “Louis Vuitton x Supreme” is a partnership and not a precondition to a financial transaction. Early last week a rumor that the LVMH luxury group had defined the acquisition of the US cult brand for a figure close to 500 million dollars (about 470 million euro) had circulated. The evidence that would substantiate the news has been the interest of the luxury holding company for merger operations & acquisitions as well as a collection created in collaboration with the streetwear brand and presented at Paris Fashion Week Man in January. Sources close to Louis Vuitton and Supreme, quoted by fashion blog The Business of Fashion, however, denied the allegations. However, nothing has been set in stone as Kim Hastreiter, co-founder of Paper Magazine and friend of James Jebbia (the father of Supreme) wrote on her Instagram account: “Rumor racing around. Likely not true (yet).”
