In March, Brazil exported more leather than in the first quarter of 2016. CICB: “One of the best results in recent years”

The percentage growth in exports of Brazilian leather to March stood at 3.8%, for a turnover of 192.6 million dollars. These are an excellent result, considering that foreign sales were 19.5% compared to the February result. But the performance value of the tanning Brazilia – “One of the highest monthly performance ever” according to Rogério Cunha, Office of Commerce of CICB – you appreciate more if we take into account the change in volume. With 20.2 million square meters, the South American country exported 17.2% of the amount sent abroad to March 2016 and 0.6% more than it shipped in the first quarter of that year. I certify the data of the Secretariat of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Industry. On the podium of the target markets are China and Hong Kong (which together account for a share of 31.2% of the pie), Italy (16.4%) and the US (15.3%).
