Museo, companies, product: in France laid the foundation stone of the Citè du Cuir, a centre celebrating the chain of leather

The guest of honour is Hermès, which here will open a laboratory by 70 employees. There will be other international brands, along with suppliers and tanneries. March 7 in Saint-Junien (region of New Aquitaine) there was the laying of the foundation stone of the Cité du Cuir, the museum and production centre that celebrates the value chain of the leather in the French district (the triangle of the departments Dordogne, Charente and Haute-Vienne) of great tradition in the field. A place that from 2020 will show to the public the secrets of the leather and which propose itself as an incubator of opportunity for the luxury industry. The project involves a total investment of 9.3 million euro and, according to forecasts, will create 4,000 jobs.
