Producing leather upholstery in Italy: Abbyson's first time

Abbyson lands in Italy. The USA upholstery factory set up a new division to produce upholstery in leather and fabric in Italy. The project includes the lines that Abbyson will exhibit at the High Point Premarket, the international furniture fair that will take place on April 25-27, 2021, in South Carolina.

Abbyson lands in Italy

As furnituretoday.com reports, Abbyson has started a collaboration with the Italian consulting firm A&G Italy. The objective is to create a new production division for upholstered furniture covered in leather and fabrics, made in Italy. For the US company this is the first activity in Italy. According to furnituretoday.com, Abbyson will create 25 new product lines in Matera with leather upholstery available in 20 colours. Sales prices will range from $999 to $3,999.

The comment

“We have seen an increase in demand for high quality leather seating – explains Rodd Rafieha, Abbyson Senior Vice President -. Our Italian division allows us to continue to increase our distribution and to produce excellent leather products”. The US company would have started planning the landing in Italy as early as 2018.
