Lineapelle houses art photography. About tanning, of course. Quality stuff indeed.Come and visit, at pavilion 9, The Perfect Tannery photography show, narrating the history of Vicenza’s tannery through a number of pictures taken by Stuart Franklin and Mark Power, masters of contemporary photography, and members of the renowned Magnum Photos agency. The exhibition, open throughout the fair, has been promoted and developed by Atipografia, a non-profit association based in Arzignano (Vicenza), together with Unic/Lineapelle Group acting as the main sponsor. “The exhibition is a perspective tale about Vicenza’s tannery” – says Elena dal Molin, who curated the project along with Lynda Scott: for the records, they also published a book about it, while preparing a successful outfitting for the photography exhibition. The project has been supported by eight of the most important Chiampo’s tanneries: Montebello Tannery, Rino Mastrotto Group, Ica, Dani, Mastrotto Group, Adelaide, Faeda and Bonaudo. Last but not least, Acque del Chiampo (water purifier), Vicenza’s Confindustria tanning branch, Intesa San Paolo banking and Arzignano’s municipalità. “It’s not only artistic quality nor only reporting- adds Elena dal Molin – “ The Perfect Tannery” also represents a tale about a multi-faceted world: here industry, technology, men, environment and Italian working culture have been going hand in hand “.
