Ducati and Poltrona Frau together under the banner of leather. This Business Unit Interiors in Motions division of Poltrona Frau created a special limited and numbered edition of the XDiavel Nera model: only 500 made. The most iconic part? The motorcycle seat, in leather, of course.
Together under the banner of leather
The new Ducati XDiavel Nera became the main character of the 7th episode of Ducati World Première Web Series. The most recognizable part of the model, which consists in the collaboration of the manufacturer with Poltrona Frau, is the special leather seat made by Frau. Summarized: a soft leather seat made by hand and created via years of research by the company headquartered in Tolentino (Macerata). The seat is available in 5 different colors and is customized with a series of Xs engraved with a sophisticated laser-applied process, which recalls the name of the motorcycle.
Absolute exclusivity
The exclusivity though goes beyond that. The client can ask for a wider seat with back support, always made with Frau leather, in order to travel with a companion. 500 “Ducatisti” (Ducati fans), will be able to order their XDiavel Nera and receive a custom keychain and document holder also made with the same leather used for the seat.
A project 100% Italian
“Poltrona Frau proves once more to be a great partner for the automotive and motorcycling industries”, said Nicola Coropulis, CEO Poltrona Frau. He also added he is very proud of being a part of this project, which is 100% Italian. An initiative that “once again proves our know-how and ability in co–designing an item through innovation and craftsmanship”. The Business Unit Interiors in Motions was responsible for the prototyping and creation of the seat, within Poltrona Frau. Born in the 80s, the unit is specialized “in the creation and building of distinctive leather interiors for the automotive, airplane, train and boating segments. XDiavel Nera perfectly summarized the value shared between Ducati and Poltrona Frau”, commented Andrea Ferraresi, director of Centro Stile Ducati. “This motorcycle is unique and has an unmistakable identity: a brilliant expression of Made in Italy excellency”.
