After the postponements, came the cancellation of the fair. APLF calls off the 2020 edition and postpones the appointment to 2021. After two date shifts in the spring, the Coronavirus pandemic now forces the Hong Kong fair to stop.
APLF calls off the 2020 edition
As early as February, we said, APLF organisers announced a first change in the calendar. The Asian trade fair for leather and materials for fashion moved the dates from March 29 – April 2 to that of June 1-3. But it was not enough. At the end of March the organisers communicated a new postponement, but to a date to be decided. The restrictive measures applied by the Hong Kong government and many countries made it “virtually impossible for exhibitors and visitors to participate to APLF”. Now the capitulation. Covid-19 prevented the fair from taking place in 2020. The appointment is for next year.
