A highly anticipated come back from its entire community, and from the global fashion and luxury industry. Not surprisingly, “organisation is proceeding quickly” and the number of adhesions, to date, represents “an important and very encouraging signal”.
Lineapelle will be back in attendance

Having said that, let’s move on to the story of the work in progress of the Milanese show. “We already have 600 exhibitors from 18 countries – says the Organising Secretariat -. We consider this an important and very encouraging sign”. But also, a concrete stimulus to develop a challenging exhibition project, as of how the pandemic situation has upset traditional fair standards”. So, “as in September 2020, a simplified formula has been adopted, with unified booths and solutions that guarantee maximum safety. Inevitably, there won’t be many foreign visitors, especially Asians. With them, however, we have never interrupted the relationship, thanks to a continuous series of remote initiatives”.
Expectations are high
“We have been told that Lineapelle has been missed – says the president of the fair, Gianni Russo -, because our fair is essential for those who have to develop the search for materials for the fashion, design, and automotive manufacturing industries”. Materials “to be discovered and touched by hand, with an eye not only on the present, but also to the near future. The one that, stylistically, concerns the Autumn-Winter 2022-2023 season. A season dedicated to the need to rediscover wonder”.
Imagination & Re-Wonder
Lineapelle “also launches a stylistic challenge. It concerns the trends for the 2022-2023 winter season” and addresses it “in the light of a real programmatic manifesto, summarised by the slogan Imagination & Re-Wonder. It is time, therefore, to “rediscover the wonder, leaving the helm to the imagination and experimentation. A search for positivity that intercepts naturalness and technology, reassuring colours and materials capable of expressing their innovative power in a futuristic way. Starting with leather and its infinite possibilities for development, combination and experimentation”.
The next edition of Lineapelle “will also be characterised by the synergy with Assopellettieri, linked to the debut of the Mipel Lab exhibition format”. In other words, the “leather goods sourcing exhibition will take place simultaneously and in partnership with Lineapelle, with whom it will also share the spaces”. Mipel Lab will be previewed (and in presence) at Pitti Immagine, scheduled from June 30 to July 2, 2021, at Fortezza da Basso in Florence. And not only. Lineapelle’s stylistic exploration will address the theme of material innovations combined with technology, within the A New Point of Materials space. An initiative “involving D-house Laboratorio Urbano (spin off of Dyloan) and C.L.A.S.S. Ecohub”.
The American perspective
Not only Milan. Lineapelle trade fair network will, in fact, find its classic appointment in the Big Apple on September 1-2, 2021. After the long months of the pandemic, dealt by digitally maintaining contact with its American community, Lineapelle New York will also return in its physical format. There have already been 85 registrations for an event which, on an organisational level, awaits “more precise indications on how to enter the United States”. The location at the Metropolitan Pavilion has been confirmed.
