From today, therefore, a new important brand enters alongside Diesel, Maison Margiela and Marni. The top management of OTB, in fact, announced that they have reached an agreement with Onward Holdings for the acquisition of 100% of Jil Sander. The Japanese group had owned the brand founded in 1968 by the German homonymous designer since 2008 and, since 2017, has been creatively led by Lucie and Luke Meier.
“I have always looked at Jil Sander with respect and admiration – comments Renzo Rosso, president of OTB -. Despite the changes in ownership and creative direction, the brand has remained faithful to the vision of its founder, with great attention to the beauty and quality of the product, with an unmistakable minimalist approach. Welcoming this timeless diamond into our group of unique and unconventional houses is an honour and a long-term commitment”.
