Aquazzura is tempting private equity funds. And, in turn, is looking for a way to spark their interest. According to Il Sole 24 Ore, Aquazzura is looking for partners. In other words, the luxury footwear brand could open the door to a minority investor.
Aquazzura is the brand founded by Edgardo Osorio in 2011. According to the economic newspaper, the Colombian designer commissioned Rothschild to probe the ground. Objective: to identify “possible partners among fund investors to aim for further growth”.
After working for the most important brands in the industry (Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli and René Caovilla, among others), Osorio founded his footwear brand, immediately enjoying great international success. Aquazzura is looking for partners because, in 9 years, its turnover has grown steadily and progressively, reaching around 40 million euros. Among the driving factors of its growth is also the appreciation of a long series of VIPs. For example, Claudia Schiffer and Kate Moss. But also Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. Aquazzura has its headquarters and production in Florence.
