Assocalzaturifici Assembly 2017. “Positive signals, but recovery is not there yet.”

2016 closed without significant results. The beginning of 2017 brings a cautious optimism and hope that the future can improve. First quarter data, presented at the Annual Assembly of Associations (at Carlo Cattaneo University in Castellanza), reported a 2% increase in exports and 5% of value. If the first surveys 2017 show modest signs of recovery, the 2016 final figures are not “particularly brilliant” and, according to President Annarita Pilotti, “confirm the complicated situation and the uncertain climate.” The assembly, introduced by the president of the University Michele Graglia, was the occasion to tell Annarita Pilotti’s first two years of work as chairman, making a budget of the activities started and the future goals. Among them, theMicam, which will host four other major fashion houses in Italy (Armani, Zegna, Jimmy Choo, Sergio Rossi) in the upcoming September edition for approval of the new associate statute. The birth of Confindustria Moda. The renewal of the CIMAC of Vigevano. The renovation of the collective agreement. At the end of the meeting, a new way of interacting with teachers at the University has experimented with three different workshops: one dedicated to industry 4.0, one on 3D technology for prototype creation and the last devoted to a company that turns into an innovative factory.
