Gaultier may change his mind to open to fur again (possibly)

Jean Paul Gaultier never “discarded” fur completely. Actually, he might decide to “make use of it” again. Last November, while speaking to France’s national television network, he announced he was saying stop to fur and exotic leather too. Now, a few months later, the fashion designer is taking a backward step to some extent. While talking to AFP press agency, Gaultier cleared up that he might possibly decide to use again old furs or new ones as well, “provided that everything is running appropriately, without engaging any endangered species”.

Jean Paul’s limits

“I always liked the fur touch: it is so beautiful and warmly snuggling – confessed the fashion designer, still criticising some of the fur aspects though –. Conversely, I never liked to see women wearing a fur, in other words women supported by men. The good thing is that we got past it, a while ago: fur is no longer synonymous with that image”. According to AFP, Gaultier might go back to fur material as long as the fur industry is safe and traceable.
