Gucci accuses, Forever 21 counterattacks. The battle over the use of the stripes ends in court

Forever 21 responded with a formal complaint (filed at a Central District of California court), with three letters received by Gucci since December 2016. In the first, according to the same Los Angeles-based company, the label Florentine asked Forever 21 to stop selling bosses using 9 of his trademarks. The reason would be the use of green and red stripes (and even blue and red), Gucci trademark since 1988 in its collections. In January and February 2017, the Italian Maison returned to office threatening to enter legal proceedings. Forever 21 contradicts and transfers the dispute to court by requiring the district court to issue a legally binding statement (not a ruling) claiming that its leaders do not violate the trademark rules in the particular case, “because Gucci has no legal basis for A legal complaint.”
