Assopellettieri si unisce al coro: #italianleatherneverstops

Italian leather does not stop. UNIC – Italian Tanneries raised the battle cry. Assopellettieri have joined the group now: in other words, Italy’s beauty and good design industry is not going to give up to Coronavirus outbreak. “We are actually dealing with an epoch-making emergency – commented Franco Gabbrielli, president of the association –. It is not just a matter of health, as the issue is affecting all fields, including the economic and the social one. Yet, in such topical moments of crisis, human beings successfully manage to bring out their innate qualities, such as obduracy, solidarity and ability to adapt. Not to mention, on top of that, a great sense of responsibility”.

Assopellettieri join the group

“Assopellettieri are striving hard to act in favour of their own associates and Italian leather goods industry – continued Gabbrielli –. We immediately made available a help desk service to support effectively our member companies, all of them, aiming to back them up on some difficult decisions about the management of their manufacturing process, their employees and corporate financial assets”. Furthermore, such help desk service will also keep companies “up to date in actual time by providing information, through a number of social networks as well, about the most important economic and business issues involved in the current emergency”.

Will to do

“Italian leather goods industry is undoubtedly one of the strongest and most reliable pillars of Italy’s trade balance – wrapped up Gabbrielli –, as exports reached, in terms of value, over 8.5 billion euros in the first 10 months of 2019. We are going to safeguard, with all our energy, this industry, as much as small and medium enterprises, which are its pulsating heart. That is why we have joined the message sent by UNIC-Italian Tanneries colleagues and friends, while shouting out #italianleatherneverstops: Italian leather does not stop and keeps going”.
