Lear acquires Grupo Antolin, Adient launches unit for premium seats for SUVs

Lear Corporation, the US car interior giant, has announced the purchase of Grupo Antolin, a supplier of seating for automakers. The Spanish company is bringing 12 manufacturing plants, two technology centres, 2,000 employees and a turnover of 300 million Euros. In their client portfolio, there is Volkswagen, Peugeot and Nissan. The agreement for the acquisition is a figure of 286 million euro. Competitors do not remain with our arms folded. Adient, a company formed by a group of Johnson Control rib, has launched a new business unit, Recaro Performance Seating, which proposed itself as a supplier of premium seats for SUVs and Pickup. The current economic situation allows bets: the first quarter by an independent company Adient ends with profits growing by 8.7% (149 million dollars) and operating margins of 5.8%.
