The first 40 years of Eurosuole: 750 guests, a show from Malika Ayane and large investments. “We want to become the number one European sole factory”

“Eurosuole aims to become the number one sole factory in Europe.” These were the words of Germano Ercoli, on Friday evening, as he kicked off the party with which he celebrated the 40th anniversary of his company based in Civitanova Marche (Macerata). The party was attended by 750 guests, including Italian singer Malika Ayane. Eurosuole donated an ultra-modern ambulance to the local ‘Croce Verde’ voluntary ambulance service. “I’m ready for the next 40 years – declared Ercoli. We have achieved steady growth and now, with a multi-million euro investment, Eurosuole aims to become the number one sole factory in Europe.” The company is in fact building a warehouse measuring 6,500 square metres and, as Rosaria Ercoli, Germano’s sister, pointed out, “We have embarked on a path of innovation that allows us to have our say at regional level and beyond.” The total investment amounts to €8 million. Absent due to institutional commitments was Minister Maria Elena Boschi, who had also confirmed the visit to the Civitanova plant which employs 250 people. The 2015 turnover of Eurosuole was €41 million, while the subsidiary Golden Plast ended the year at €42 million. (mv)
