Sicit Group improves, ranking among the top 1% of most sustainable companies

Sicit Group improves and confirms its position as one of the most sustainable companies in the world. Founded in Chiampo (Vicenza) in 1960, the company has obtained EcoVadis’ Platinum rating for the third consecutive year. Improving on last year’s score from 84 to 91 points. “This confirms the solidity of our circular economy model and the value of our people”, said Massimo Neresini, CEO of Sicit Group.

Sicit Group continues to improve

The EcoVadis platform assesses sustainability performance by analyzing four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Sicit Group achieved an overall score of 91/100, confirming its position among the top 1% of the world’s most sustainable companies. “Confirming our Platinum rating for the third consecutive year, with a score of 91 out of 100, is the result of a constant commitment to sustainable innovation and responsible growth”, added Neresini.

Sustainability as an integral part

The company transforms waste from the tanning industry into high-value agricultural biostimulants and gypsum retarders, while extending its sustainable innovation to new natural raw materials, including algae and moringa extracts, used in new-generation biostimulants. Sicit Group employs over 200 people at its production facilities in Italy and Chile, and a new site is currently being set up in Mexico. The group continues to grow internationally, with a particular focus on Latin America. “Sustainability is an integral part of our DNA”, comments Francesca Maria Estori, sustainability and ESH Coordinator of the Veneto-based company. “This recognition”, continues Estori, “testifies the daily commitment of our teams to reducing environmental impact, protecting the safety of people and processes, and pursuing continuous improvement of our standards”.
