Promoting cooperation between Italian and Mongolian tanning associations: Creating synergy that generates added value in terms of innovation and environmental sustainability. These are the objectives of the letter of understanding signed on Monday, December 1, at the Polo Tecnologico Conciario (Po.Te.Co.) in Santa Croce sull’Arno by UNIC – Italian tanneries and MALI – Mongolian Association of Leather Industry.
Agreement between UNIC and the Mongolian Association of Leather Industry
The document was signed by UNIC President Fabrizio Nuti and the Mongolian Association of Leather Industry’s President Ariunbold Davaasuren during an event that saw broad participation by representatives of the tanning and leather-fashion supply chain from both countries. The document will be valid for two years, may be extended, and covers various areas. For example: training, research, and development. The objective is to support the growth of workers, specialists, and tanning technicians and to introduce internationally recognized certification standards and verification mechanisms.
Communication and events
The agreement also covers participation in trade fairs and workshops related to the leather sector organized in each of the two countries. This provides an opportunity to foster ongoing discussion on developments and trends in the sector. The agreement also aims to facilitate business-to-business cooperation. “We are interested in the tools of international cooperation between companies”, says Nuti, “which can prove to be a fundamental lever for addressing the challenges of an increasingly complex global market.
The signed protocol is one of those partnerships and collaborations through which companies can access new knowledge, technologies, and markets, promoting innovation and sustainable growth. Cooperation and dialogue can also be useful in sharing risks and resources. All of this allows for a more flexible response to changes in a rapidly evolving market”.
