Conceria Gaiera is celebrating: 70 years of “excellence in the great excellence that is the Italian tanning industry”

70 years in the leather industry. Conceria Gaiera Giovanni, a historic Lombard company founded in 1946 in Robecchetto con Induno, celebrated its 70th anniversary last night with a big event at the Palazzo Giureconsulti, close to the Duomo in Milan. The company started by producing sheepskin, goatskin and kidskin linings, and has gone on to develop and reinvent itself over the years, becoming a benchmark in the sector. “A leader among the tanning companies that have created the national economic history of the sector, spanning two centuries,” declared Gianni Russo, president of the National Tanning Industry Union (UNIC) as, together with UNIC’s general director, Fulvia Bacchi, he presented Raffaele Mosconi and Enrica and Giovanni Miramonti with a plaque and a letter of thanks for being “an example of excellence in the great excellence that is the Italian tanning industry.” Gaiera has always been very active as an association member as well. Lorenzo Mosconi, who masterminded the development of the company along with Domenico Miramonti, has held important positions in UNIC over many years, including serving as president.
