From leather to textiles: Rino Mastrotto buys Oreste Mariani

The tanning industry enters the textile game. Rino Mastrotto Groupcontrolled byNB Renaissance, purchased majority shares of Tessitura Oreste Mariani. The company headquartered in Giussano (Monza Brianza, near Milan), manufactures and sells textiles for fashion. Specifically: applications for accessories, leather goods and apparel. The agreement reached states that the Mariani family will retain a minority share and will continue to lead the company. The value of the deal wasn’t made public.

“This investment opens a new chapter in our group’s history”, commented Matteo Mastrotto, CEO of Rino Mastrotto Group. “It allows us to add textiles and other technical materials to our product portfolio, thus giving clients a more complete service and generating, at the same time, many synergies with the leather goods’ segment. This deal joins the company with unique positionings, histories and experiences. We are sure that the choice will give fruit, in the long-term, to the development of the company, in the interest of all stakeholders. In the last three years we have invested over 50 million euro to finance organic and inorganic growth projects”.

Tessitura Oreste Mariani

Tessitura Oreste Mariani was founded in 1937 by Oreste Mariani. In the early 2000s, it specialized in technical textiles for high-end leather goods, and this segment now represent the company’s core business. The enterprise gives work to 67 people. “We are glad to join Rino Mastrotto Group and to have such an important partner supporting us throughout the next growth phase”, say Gaia, Edoardo and Andrea Mariani. ”The industrial project we join is effectively unique and represents an important push to reach ambitious objectives”.
