Sergio Rossi: 80 hires and the end of Men’s line. The relaunch of the brand starts with its origins

Sergio Rossi’s relaunch under the helm of Sciutto with the aim of “expressing the unexpressed potential of the brand in a year” is going strong. As explained to MFF, former Hogan manager, Riccardo Sciutto, said his first move was to bring the registered office in San Mauro Pascoli, where everything began. The second step would be hiring 80 people and retraining and relocating, the existing employees, reorganising the whole company bringing it back to the core, Womenswear, and interrupting the one dedicated to men. The new women’s collection will be presented at the next Milan Fashion week. Sciutto has also worked on the sales channel by planning and creating the e-commerce site, soon online, to complement Sergio Rossi sale offering. On the retail side (50 mono-brand stores and corners that generate 70% of the 70 million in revenue), Sciutto plans a rationalisation with an opening in Tokyo GinzaSix mall scheduled for April, and the subsequent refurbishment of two stores in Beijing and one in Harbour City in Hong Kong. Eventually, he will focus on the European market.
