Coronavirus: “Lineapelle si svolgerà regolarmente”

“Following the spreading of the Coronavirus 2019-nCoV, originating in the city of Wuhan (China), Italy’s Foreign Ministry recommended all to avoid travelling to the Hubei region”. This is the strong statement written by Confindustria’s General Directory (Italian association of industrials), to its associates. Words necessary to rationalize the approach to the situation developing now in China. We would like to add a note saying that “Lineapelle will take place as per schedule”.

Regular schedule

Lineapelle is scheduled to take place in Fieramilano Rho from February 19th to 21st, 2020. It will host about 1,250 exhibitors and expects to welcome about 20,000 visitors. In order to avoid alarmism and misleading news, the Secretary of the exhibit entrusted the following statement to all its social media accounts. Lineapelle will take place as scheduled, in compliance with the information provided by the World Health Organization and the Italian Ministry of Health and under applicable law. We will promptly notify you of any new provisions and developments.

Confindustria says

The note posted by Confindustria outlines the situation. “Local authorities are adopting the necessary containment measures”. For example, the interruption of any mean of transportation exiting the city of Wuhan. Additionally, authorities are also suspending the activities of public transport and vehicles on roads and highways”. Moreover, “we want to communicate that the Italian Health Ministry has created a task force appositely for Coronavirus 2019-nCoV, in order to better coordinate all the involved institutions. A new equipe of doctors and health professionals, to further strengthen the checks inside airports, and integrate the specialists with the 1500 toll-free number reachable 24-hours a day”.
