Leather’s events: Freiburg confirms the dates, PALF postpones

Those confirming, and those postponing to a date to be defined. Leather’s events are affected and absorb in different ways the effects of the pandemic on their calendar. If in Germany the organisers of Freiberg Leather Days can ensure that the forum will be held as scheduled on June 9 and 10, in Egypt they are raising the white flag. According to leatherbiz reports, the first edition of Pan Africa Leather Fair, already moved from June 2020 to the same month of 2021, is currently canceled.

Of course, even in Freiburg they have to deal with Coronavirus. For this reason FILK, the organising body of the meeting of researchers and scientists of the tanning industry, envisages a hybrid format of physical meetings and digital webinars. The situation in Cairo, where PALF should have been held, on the other hand, is more complex. Markets, the company that organises the event, explained that the problem lies in the travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic. The context, therefore, does not allow to ensure an event attended by the expected public. For this reason, there is still to wait for the first edition of the event.
