Momad Madrid confirmed September edition, Moda Made in Italy cancelled

Settembre: Moda Made in Italy a Monaco salta, Momad a Madrid no

Moda Made in Italy cancelled its September next edition, scheduled in Munich. Conversely, Momad confirmed its event date in Madrid.  The pandemic has been turning plans upside down actually. The two footwear fairs have made different decisions.

Moda Made in Italy cancelled exhibition in Munich

The Moda Made in Italy fair, scheduled in Munich (Germany) on September 27-29, has been cancelled. We were compelled to make such decision due to the present difficult situation, commented Assocalzaturifici organizers, while considering, on a wider scale, the whole of international fair events. Looking at clients’ changed demand, the footwear association decided to firmly focus their efforts on a new approach strategy to get in touch with the German market.

What is it going to be about? Both physical and digital. Thanks to a special agreement, all companies will enjoy the opportunity to set up a showroom, on September 27-29, to meet buyers and customers. Furthermore, the new MICAM Milan Digital Show platform will be available.

Momad confirmed exhibition in Madrid

Momad, the international textile, footwear and accessories trade show, arranged by Ifema, will take place in Madrid on 18-20 September 2020.

For the records, visitors can already register on the exhibition website.

The pandemic, caused by Covid-19 outbreak, brought about a couple of changes: the former is about schedule, as they planned the fair later than usual. The latter is about the implementation of a few digital applications, therefore setting a sort of hybrid fair. The same actually applies, likewise, to the whole of fashion fairs and trade shows.

“In the same way as the present pandemic has modified and turned upside down other aspects of our life – pointed out Julia González, chief director of Momad – we believe that fairs will change as well: therefore, the implementation of some digitals tools will enable exhibitors and visitors to meet up more easily”.
