Rosso (OTB): “We are working on acquisitions and IPO, maybe by the end of the year”

The timeframe is still being defined: if all goes well, the operations can be closed by the end of the year. The most important thing is the goal, and that is clear. OTB, which controls brands such as DieselMarni and Maison Margiela, is currently working on acquisitions and IPO: “We are studying the structure to get on the stock exchange and looking for additional potential acquisitions with out M&A department”, said the OTB’s owner Renzo Rosso.

Maybe by the end of the year

As always when deals are being negotiated, the timeframe is uncertain. “It’s not certain that something will happen by the end of the year – said Rosso in relation to IPO and M&A -. When you conduct due diligence, you never know what to expect”. The founder and owner of the fashion group, meanwhile, can be comforted by the performances of companies already part of the group. “Our brands all have potential. We started 2023 well, and experienced double-digit growth during the first three months of the year – he says -. It’s a good moment for the group. Even more so when we think that Diesel has had a very strong Q1. China is showing very good signs now that they have reopened”.
