Tod’s and Mr. Bags together again to drive WeChat crazy

Together again (for the fourth time). Ready to break the record again. The latest collaboration between Tod’s and Mr. Bags will lead to the creation of a new limited edition bag, which does not yet have a name. The product will be sold on WeChat with “Baoshop” mini program. The record to break is 696,000 dollars.

September 9 is the release date of the new bag. According to WWD, it will be inspired by Tod’s C-bag, made in leather, and with a short shoulder strap, as well as in three colours: light pistachio, light brown and almond. The accessory was designed with reference to Yexia Bao style, which identifies small leather goods with short shoulder strap.

According to Mr. Bags it can be worn under the armpit. “The Yexia is one of the most popular bag styles in China,” explained the Chinese influencer, adding that, while sharing a great resemblance to the C-bag, the design is different on the inside and out. The length of the shoulder strap is designed to offer greater comfort and to be more versatile in the combination.

Each bag will come with a limited edition stamp and in a special packaging with Mr. Bags and Tod’s logos. After launching on WeChat, the bag will be available on Tod’s website and at select Tod’s stores around the world.


Will it break the collection record? In 2018, Mr. Bag‘s sold 300 Tod’s bags in 6 minutes at a price of 1,620 dollars each, for a total of 486,000 dollars. Last year Tao Liang, professionally known as Mr. Bags, sold 320 Unicorn D Styling bags for a total of approximately 696,000 dollars.
