Kering, a semester of gold: Bottega Veneta in recovery (+ 3.4%), YSL grows (+ 29.7%), Gucci flees (+ 45.4%)

Revenues consolidated in the first half of 2017 are worth around 7, 3 billion euros, up 28.2%. Kering Group’s luxury business grew by 29.7%, while Sport & Lifestyle by + 16.1%. In a generalised growth context, Gucci continues to lead under Michele and Bizzarri’s helm with a 45.4% growth, with a turnover of 2.8 billion euros in 6 months. Among the performing brands, there is Saint Laurent (710.8 million euros, up 29.7%), while Bottega Veneta moves by + 3.4% (590.4 million). Other luxury brands in the Kering group (including Balenciaga) recorded an average growth of 10.6% on an annual basis, with the “Couture & Leather Goods” growing 13.4%. François-Henri Pinault, Chairman and CEO of Kering, said in an official note: “These results underscore the ability of the group to create value, innovate and gain market share.”
