Green power, quality, versatility: explaining leather in Kazakhstan

The opportunity came from the recent edition of La Moda Italiana@Almaty, held from 3 to 5 October. The day after the booths closed, Thursday, October 6, Micam involved local stylists and designers in a seminar entitled “The world of leather: characteristics, processing and articles”. Speaker: Lineapelle, which set itself the goal of explaining leather in Kazakhstan, attracting significant interest.

Explaining leather in Kazakhstan

The Kazakh seminar is an integral part of the “Micam X Trends and Materials programme”, Micam explains on LinkedIn. “We talked about the structural and qualitative details of leather, the main processes, fashion effects and trends for Spring Summer 2023 with the help of a wide selection of leathers on display”. In practice, a sort of lecture on demand, based on the collaboration between Micam and Lineapelle, that involved around 40 local operators.

Green power, quality, versatility

Operators who, as the event showed, use leather, appreciating its beauty and heritage, but without being aware of its nature. As well as its green power, its quality and the finishes that guarantee its amazing versatility. The seminar was particularly sustainable. This was clear right from the introductory speech by Liliya Rakh, the mind behind the Kazakh fashion group Savage, which focused substantially on the importance of concrete, tangible sustainability, not made up of words. An ideal assist in defining leather as a green and circular material, as Giacomo Zorzi of Lineapelle reiterated in his technical talk.
