SICIT con BeLeafing dona 3.000 alberi alla Valle del Chiampo

SICIT donates 3,000 trees to Valle del Chiampo. The company from Arzignano has decided to join BeLeafing, a forest restocking project for Italian cities. A move that is part of SICIT’s sustainable DNA.

Advantages

BeLeafing project aims to repopulate Italian cities with woods. The initiative was accepted by the Municipality of Arzignano, which decided to sponsor it. Through the project’s internet portal anyone can book one of the plants donated by the companies. You can choose from 8 different species, according to your needs. Plants, whose peculiarities and indications for taking care of them can be discovered, are divided into macro-categories. Each shrub can absorb carbon dioxide and capture fine dust (Pm10). To give an idea, it is estimated that 5,000 trees each year can absorb around 100,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide and capture 350,000 grams of Pm10.

Delivery

The booked plants are then distributed to citizens who have chosen them during public events. SICIT is committed to donating 3,000 trees to the citizens of Valle del Chiampo, as part of BeLeafing project. Of these, 800 have already been booked during the first event, which took place on December 22 in Chiampo. The next event will be held on March 7 in Arzignano. Other members of the project include Gruppo Dani, Gruppo Mastrotto and Conceria Trust.
