Simac Tanning Tech 2018 (the international exhibition of machinery and technologies for footwear, leather goods and tanning industries) is about to kick off at Fieramilano Rho, simultaneously with Lineapelle94 and next to its halls, in an optimistic mood: exhibitors, who now amount to 300, have increased, while the exhibiting area extends across more than 18,000 square metres. Undoubtedly the event relies on its international scale and relevance. Exhibitors are coming from 19 countries: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan and Turkey. On top of that, thanks to a continuous cooperation with MiSE and ICE-Agency, 20 foreign delegations will participate in the fair, that is, over 160 industry operators in total. Foreign delegates will meet and network together in the Lounge, located, this time, in the new area at hall 18 (on the first floor gallery). ICE-Agency, together with the Ministry of Development, supported and made it feasible. However, the highlight of Simac Tanning Tech 2018 will be the exhibition of their technological content. This year the fair focuses on sustainability through the official presentation of the Supplier of Sustainable Technologies project. “We are opening the new edition of Simac Tanning Tech looking at sustainability. The sector companies have been working, for a while, on methods and technologies to meet the manufacturing needs, in compliance with environmental sustainability and energy saving”, points out Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, president of the Milanese fair.
