Rewind: the truth about leather sustainability in four videos

Breeding, fashion, food, future. The documentary Rewind is divided in four chapters. Four videos, each about five minutes long, that tell the story of the relationships between meat, tanning and fashion supply chains. And which explain the truth about the sustainability of leather. Indeed. Because, in order to respond to those who denigrate or defame leather by (deliberately) making a fuss, the best thing is to rewind the tape (hence the title Rewind). And put the arguments back in order, so that the public can understand why breeding is not (as some would have it) absolute evil, tanning plays a circular role and the fashion system is only green when it is durable. And while leather is all of the above, synthetic alternatives are not.

The sustainability of leather

Director of Rewind is Carl Prechezer. Producer of the documentary is Real Leather Stay Different, a campaign of LHCA (the association of US tanners and traders). Leather plays a fundamental role in the effort for sustainable fashion: in Rewind all the whys. Enjoy watching.
