As reported by leprogres.fr, the structure that hosts Tanneries du Puy has been undergoing, for 2 years, a physical restructuring that includes the demolition of spaces that are no longer used, the substitution of the coverings and the rebuilt of the entire electrical system. The more impactful change though, is being done to the water-treatment portion of the plant. The goal is to eliminate all odors originating from the system. Last but not least, the roof will soon be covered in vegetation. All work began in 2018 and is to be concluded in the fall of 2021. The ones currently being done are for the warehouse and tanning portion of the site.
