Trends and green power: 13 and 14 July is Lineapelle New York

Lineapelle New York (13 and 14 July) will bring a preview of fashion trends for Autumn-Winter 2023-2024 to the United States. 119 (60 Italian and 59 foreign) will be at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan, including 91 tanneries, 8 producers of accessories and components, 13 of fabrics and synthetics, and 7 of chemicals and other types. The creative and strategic focus of the show will be the circular economy. In short: trends and green power in the Big Apple. Mipel Lab, a project promoted in collaboration with Assopellettieri and an example of the “synergy that involves the fair trade events promoted by the category associations that are part of Confindustria Moda”, will also be hosted within the event in an expanded formula, Lineapelle writes in a note.

New penetration strategies

After a successful return last January, Lineapelle New York will be back with 119 exhibitors at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan on Wednesday, 13 and Thursday, 14 July. “Within the exhibition circuit that Lineapelle has created to strengthen the Milan event, the American market has always been of great interest to our operators,” comments CEO Fulvia Bacchi. “We are evaluating new strategies of penetration, with the presence also in other US cities. Not only that: we will also soon be returning to London and Asia‘.

Trends and green power

Synthesised by Possible Worlds, exhibitors at Lineapelle New York will present the first developments of collections based on fashion trends developed by the Lineapelle Fashion Committee. The creative focus is on the circular economy. For example, designs conceived for reuse and technologies to increase the performance of materials. Or: development of undyed and timeless processing. And again: combinations of “ultra-smooth and reflective” materials and solutions that “reconsider the grain of materials, to make them more vibrant”. In addition to style, exclusive One To One Meetings with customers and stakeholders entitled Responsible Italian Leather Lounge will be held during the event.

One To One Meetings

For Lineapelle, ‘these customised meetings will help participants better understand how made in Italy has adapted to the increased demand for more sustainable production’. ‘Because in reality, emphasise the organisers of the two-day New York event, ‘it is the Italian leather industry sets global standards of responsibility. Innovation and creativity are the main pillars for looking to the future’.

Mipel Lab also returns

Lineapelle New York will also host Mipel Lab, an initiative promoted by Assopellettieri that debuted in September 2021 at Lineapelle. Objective: to be a place, physical and digital, capable of fostering encounters between luxury brands, designers, international private labels and the excellence of Italian leather sourcing. A place that, on this occasion, moves from Milan to Manhattan.
