EU Leather: Cotance prolongs Andreas Kindermann’s presidency

Europe’s leather industry starts September by prolonging, in Cotance, the presidency of Andreas Kindermann, as well as by welcoming two new VPs inside the Board. The modification to the positions arrived yesterday, after the general assembly of the Confederation of National Associations of Tanners and Dressers of the European Community, which represents national tanning associations.

Cotance prolongs the presidency

Andreas Kindermann, Austrian tanner (in picture) was elected in 2018, succeeding German Thomas Bee (Schafstall Holding GmbH). He will now maintain the position in 2021 as well. Mr. Kindermann is the CEO of Wollsdorf Leather, tannery opened in the early 1900s and specialized in the production of leather for the automotive segment (specifically for steering wheels), upholstery and aviation.

Two new Vice Presidents

Two new faces, meanwhile, enter the Board. One is Manuel Rios, president of Spanish Inpelsa, specialized in “lambskin products for footwear, garment and leather goods”. The 2nd is that of Philippe Joucla, general manager of Mégisserie Lauret, also specialized in lambskin.
